baby hugs

This was just the sweetest thing the other day! We were at the sprinklers with some friends and my friend Michelle's little boy, Ryker just got really excited when he saw Maggie Claire and wanted to hug her. I was holding her up and they just hugged and hugged, and it was so sweet!

The sweetest part about it was that Maggie Claire was giggling the entire time! I guess Ryker was tickling her neck while she was hugging her. Oh, it was the sweetest thing! He is 11 months older than her, and this was really the first time they ever played together! I love these babies!!!

baby snuggles

On Friday we went in for Maggie Claire's 6 month well visit. She had started a little cough the night before, so I was just going to have the doctor make sure she was ok. Well, on top of having a cough, she had to get a couple of shots. I don't know about any of you other moms out there, but those shots always make Maggie Claire not feel well! Also, this time she spiked a 101.7 fever. She has never had a fever before! :(
She has been super sick all day today and it has been the most pitiful thing ever! {I won't go into details, but she has a runny nose, cough, along with other stuff too} All she wants to do is sleep, and when she is not sleeping, she just wants to be held so I get to snuggle with her! Normally, MC is way too busy to snuggle with mommy, she would rather play or be looking around. Not today, she's been laying on my shoulder, and her daddy's too. We hate the part of her being sick, but we sure do love those baby snuggles! :)

Please Pray for Maggie Claire to feel better!

snail mail

Nothing is better than going to the mailbox & finding a package from a best friend! I got a package on Saturday & I was super excited to find all of these goodies inside!
There was a really cute and soft pink blanket w/brown polka dot trim, a package of three onesies w/animals on them, 4 pairs of leggings/pants, a flower headband w/rhinestones, a bag for me to put a few things in when I head out with mc and don't want to tote the entire diaper bag, a decorative wipes case that has a little bling on it, and my favorite: a sign for MC's room that says live life one cupcake at a time! How adorable is that???

This was all from my friend Christina and her two girls Olivia and Ella who live in Tulsa, OK. Oh yes, and I almost forgot about the stuffed mickey. Olivia just turned 3 and she loves loves loves Mickey Mouse, so she knew that maggie claire needed a mickey mouse! How sweet are they, and I can't wait for them to come to visit and meet Maggie Claire! :)

MC enjoying her new blanket with one of her onesies and new pants on!

On another note, Monday Mike and I were cleaning up around the house getting ready for small group and I laid maggie claire on the couch while we were putting things away. {don't worry, we were right there, and she wasn't going to fall or anything} Well, Mike looked over at her and she had flipped the pillow that was laying beside her with her hand on top of her head. It was so funny! She was just waving those crazy hands everywhere and kicking her feet trying to get it off! We moved the pillow back behind her and she did it like 3 more times! She was just having the best time with that pillow! I told Mike that she was trying to throw it at him, but she couldn't quite get it that far! hehe. Sooner or later she will be having pillow fights with him. she's practicing early!

Booginhead. that is the name of the paci holder that I have heard great things about, so I just had to get it for maggie claire. I recieved a few paci holders off my registry, but my friend carissa told me about the booginhead paci holder that both of her kids use, and she says it is wonderful! I got it in the mail yesterday and I have realized that I love love love shopping online! :) I want to do a lot of Christmas shopping online this year. Because I'm just not feeling dragging a baby out and about to go Christmas shopping with all the crazies out there!

Anyone else with me on wanting to shop online for Christmas presents this year?
Happy Wednesday! :)

Today I met a few of my friends for our "preggo mama lunch!" It was tons of fun and so cool that I have some friends who are pregnant the same time I am! We met up for some yummy mexican food, and of course talked about our little babies. The funny thing is that we are all having girls!!!
Whitney, Courtney, me, and Abbey
Here we are again, we had to get from underneath the red umbrella & show off our little bellies!
Courtney is 21 weeks, Whitney is 24weeks, I'm 18 weeks, and Abbey is 22 weeks.
{4 babies in 6 weeks}
babies girls inside us: Gentry Emerson, Gemma Lane, Maggie Claire, and Annabelle Hart!

I think we might have to make this a monthly event, or maybe more often than that!

twin baby girls, shopping, and friends!

The biggest news of the week is that Jenny had her twin baby girls!!!!!!! They are such sweet little miracles, and what a blessing from God!!!! Sadie and Rylan are such beautiful little ones that are already bringing so much JOY to so many people! :) I went to go visit Jenny in the hospital, but I didn't get any good pics, so I'm posting a pic of Jenny and me from this summer when she was pregnant! The girls were completely healthy and absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Jenny is going to be one of the best moms I know! :) She totally rocks, she even brought the girls to church when they weren't even a week old! Go Jenny for getting out of the house! :)

Today I went to Old Navy and I purchased 14 items of clothing all under $5 a piece! I found some amazing deals, and after taking 3 trips to the fitting rooms, I got some good steals! My total bill was $40! I also had a 15% off your entire purchase coupon, thanks to OldNavyweekly.com. I love getting coupons off there! You can't beat that! My favorite items that I go were 2 pairs of yoga pants for $2.50 each!!!!! I will definitely be rockin those at school when I want to wear something comfortable, and hopefully they will inspire me to start working out more.... We'll see how that goes! Here is my clothes piles of everything I bought! :)

I had lunch with some friends this week Carissa and Michelle. Here's some pictures of our fun outing at the mall. I told Christina I would post some pics of Stone! He is just getting so big, and he is going to be such a sweet big brother coming up in November!!! Yay! :)

Carissa' little boy Hunter is SUPER CUTE and I love his sweet CHUNKINESS.
Next, we had the Middle School ALL NIGHTER. It was Crazy fun, and yes, I did stay up all night long.... I was so out of it all night long, so I only took about 5 pictures and none of them really turned out good, and were not good enough to blog about, so I just decided to post this cute picture of my and my friend April. Both of our hubbys are in ministry, and I just love her. This was us last week when a bunch of us went to go get sushi after Groundswell on Wednesday night. We're in small group together and it's awesome! :)
Yesterday after I slept all day to make up for staying up all night from the allnighter I went to my friend's wedding from work, Alex and her new husband Scott. It was a fun wedding, the people I work with at Northwood are so crazy fun. I love it! I wore my new favorite dress too! (Purple just seems to be my color this season!). I took this group pic of all the guests that came to the lingerie party. So fun! :)

I have two weddings coming up this month that I am looking forward to: Kyndal & Jonathan, and Sarah & Billy! Lots of birthdays are coming up too, including Mike's!!!!! Lots of fun in OCTOBER!!!! :)

a few of my favorites

Here are a few pictures of some of my favorite kids.

This is my nephew, Jack. If you haven't met Jack yet, you are missing out. He brings a smile to everyone's face! He is the sweetest and cutest kid ever. I hope my kids are as cute and sweet as him. I just love him so much! This is him playing in the church nursery with me a couple of weeks ago!

The other day Christina and I went to lunch at Jason's Deli. I was on the Daniel Fast, so it seemed like a great deal for me because of the amazing salad bar! After we ate, Christina told Ella and Liv that they could get an ice cream. Ella loves Jason's because they have ice cream that you can get yourself. Liv loves ice cream too, but this was the first time she held her own ice cream cone! She was so proud of herself!
These Pictures were from Ella's 4th birthday party, It was a princess Leia theme!

enjoying life to the fullest

So, it's been a while since I've given anyone an update! Here's what's new: I finally got a new car and I absolutely love it! Here is a picture of me with my new car! It's a 99 Honda accord, in a dark purple color. It really looks black, until the sun hits it at the perfect angle and then you can see the purple tint. It feels so nice to have a car that will actually run well for me, and not give me any problems. It has a sunroof, which I absolutely love! Oh, by the way, did you realize that yesterday was when I took this picture, and yes, it was in the 80s on December 19, and I was wearing shorts! The weather has been like this for the last week, and it has been so wonderful! Last night, my stepdad Mike, has his work party at the festival of lights, and we all went! It was really fun, Mike and I ate at the shelter, with Brad, Beth, baby Jack, my mom and Mike. It was our 4th oyster roast that we have been to this Christmas season, and I don't even like them. Good thing there was other food there! Then we rode through and saw all the lights. Here is a picture of Jack with his little head out the window enjoying it all. He loved it! At the very end, I love taking a picture of the Happy New year and getting the next year in there, The last 4 years I have gone, I have gotten all of the years, so here is this years! Happy New Year 2009! I can't believe it's already going to be 2009!
So, another party that I went to this year was what we called our "girlfriends" party with all the kids and babies. Once a week, a few of my friends and I all get together and have lunch. It is normally at one of our houses, or we will go out to eat somewhere, and just enjoy life together. My sister in law Bethany and baby Jack were there, Michelle and baby Stone, Christina and baby Olivia and Ella, and Allison & I all got together to have our little party! We decided to have a gift exchange and draw names, so we did and it was fun! Here are a few pics from the day, mostly of the kids:
