He's got me covered and I'm so THANKFUL! :)

Lately I have been worrying so much. Most of it is just one small situation about the future, but it pops in my mind all day long and I'm caught worrying about it! Today, I'm done worrying though, it's making me feel unworthy, self-conscious and so down on myself, and that is TOTALLY NOT ME! I don't normally worry about things, but this just seems so important to me, so I've began to worry about it!

Tonight I remembered that in Matthew 6:25-34 the Bible reminds us that WE DON'T HAVE TO WORRY BECAUSE GOD HAS IT COVERED! I read those verses over and over and I am giving all my worries to God and I KNOW He'll do His sweet little thing and take care of it! I feel so relieved right now, and God is so wonderful to take over my burdens. I know that no matter what happens in this situation, GOD IS IN CONTROL, and I'm totally good with that. Thanks God for being so faithful! :)

Here's the verses that I was talking about!
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.
29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

see you soon!

Me and Christina
Ella {4}
Liv {1.5}

These are three of the most amazing ladies I know! Christina, her husband Kevin, and their two daughters packed up and moved to Tulsa the first week of June, and I can't even begin to tell you how much I miss this family! Christina has been a best friend of mine ever since I met her about 3.5 years ago. It's kind of weird for me because I've never had a best friend of mine move so far away, but thankfully technology is awesome and we will be doing skype video calls to see each other! I miss her two little girls sooooo much! Ella had just turned 1 when I met them {she called me "Ree" for the first 3 years I knew her b/c she couldn't say Hilary}, and of course when Liv was being born I was at the hospital as soon as I found out Christina was there! Christina is not only a good friend to me, but she is also a mentor, and someone who I absolutely look up to and adore!

Christina also helped me during one of the most special times in my life, which was during the season of planning my wedding! Christina was my wedding coordinator for my wedding/reception, and of course she shared all of her marriage advice for me. {Kevin and her are an AMAZING couple to learn from!} Ella was a sweet flower girl in my wedding, and she was absolutely adorable! I'm sad to see them go, but I'm excited for what God is going to do with them in Tulsa {I know it's BIG things}!

I talked to Christina on the phone the other day for a while catching up and she told me that Ella wanted to make some cupcakes and send them in a box in the mail to Charleston for me and all her charleston friends! Now that is just so precious! I did talk to Ella for a minute and I asked her if she has been playing a lot in Tulsa. She got really excited and said "how about you come to Tulsa and play with me!" {so sweet, I could just squeeze her}

Mike and I are hoping to take a trip to Tulsa sometime within the next year to visit Kevin, Christina, and the girls! HOPEFULLY after Christmas, which is after I graduate! {Yay! We'll see}

so until then...

love yall and miss yall from Charleston!

@jacobysingleton

Today we took Jacoby up to North Greenville University for his freshman year of college. I think the whole time he was thinking, when are you guys going to leave? It was fun though, we helped him move into his dorm, well, actually it's a house that is on campus that he shares with 6 other guys. Jacoby's little nook looked cool when it was finished, we shuffled around the furniture and everything fell into place perfectly!

You will notice in one of the pictures there is a toilet (with no door or anything) in the kitchen which is attached to Jacoby's room, there is also a shower in there. It's pretty funny, I actually think the guys liked it. gross! In another one of the pictures you'll see on the front porch an old McDonald's/Burger King style table with the swivel chairs. Perfect for a guys dorm! :)

I wore my "Jacoby's Big Sister" pin that the hospital gave me when Jacoby was born (I was 3 almost 4 years old)! I can't believe that I still have it!

Jacoby, I will miss you, but I know that I'll see you soon! Have fun in college! LOVE YOU!

vacation and summer are over...

A few deer right outside our cabin!

This week I've been on vacation and it has been wonderful! Mike and I went with his parents and sister up to Hickory Knob State Park for a 4 night/5 day vacation. It was so RELAXING! I think two of the days I took 2-3 hour naps in the afternoon, and I haven't been able to do that all summer! We took the boat out on the lake, and it was actually like our private lake because since it was the end of the summer there was NO ONE out on the lake! It was so mice! We actually only saw 2 other boats the whole week we were there! I got up on the wakeboard after trying about 10 times, and I can't believe how sore I was! I'm feeling a little better now! This morning before we left I went along with Mike while he played golf with his dad and sister, I was the photographer, score keeper and cart driver! It was fun!

Well, here's a few pictures of the weekend, I was actually relaxing so much that I didn't even take that many pictures!

On the golf course havin fun!

What a stud Mike is! :)

After the fun vacation is all over, I just can't believe summer is over! Northwood starts school on Monday, which means my schedule changes back to part time, and I start my LAST semester of school the following Monday! I've ordered just about all of my textbooks, and I plan on getting a few more school supplies before I go back on the 24th. I am actually pretty excited about starting school back, because this means I get to have a little bit more free time during the day and in between my classes which also includes lunch dates with my friends that I haven't hung out with hardly all summer!

We stopped by the HoBo consignment shop and I had to get a quick pic by the sign, it was so funny! While we were there at the hobo thrift store, we found a Trivial Pursuit game that was SNL edition, that had never been opened! We got it and can't wait to play with friends!

*Notice my cute new blue purse/bag in the photo above, I got it at Target last week for $5.50! What a great deal it was and I LOVE it! :)

I can't believe it!

It's already our 1 year anniversary!
Yesterday(8/3) was mine and Mike's 1 year anniversary! It's so funny to look back on one year ago as we were preparing for our wedding, and getting so excited about decorating our apartment! This year has been so great, and I feel that Mike and I are growing in our relationship everyday! It's been such a fun year, and I honestly can't believe it's already been one year! :)

For our 1 year anniversary we stayed the night in Savannah after we were at Brock (Mike's cousin) and Janet's wedding. We stayed in a pretty sweet hotel with a jacuzzi/whirlpool in our room!

Here's how our schedule went on our anniversary:
  • We started the morning out with some delicious Chick-Fil-A minis :)
  • Went shopping in downtown Savannah, and went driving by the river
  • Drove to Hilton Head
  • Ate at Fuddrucker's for lunch
  • Went to the beach in Hilton Head
  • Drove through Beaufort
  • Got home and rested for a little bit
  • Mike's parents took us out to dinner at Olive Garden (my fav restaurant)
  • Last but not least: Cut our cake from our wedding... (It wasn't that great)

Here are some pictures from throughout the weekend:
